Doors of Cromarty
A chat during lockdown with my Dad, Iain James Matheson, a landscape painter of many years, resulted in this joint project to paint some of our favourite doors in Cromarty, a place that is close to our hearts.
During the lockdowns we weren’t able to visit Cromarty so painting some of its landmark buildings and house doors was the next best thing. The project ran for several years and resulted in calendars being produced & sold and an exhibition of all the paintings in Sonas Gallery in Cromarty in 2024.
It was a great way to celebrate such a fun project.
